overcoming

i've always had this fear of carrying babies or young kids.. there's always this picture at the back of my mind tat they'll fall out of my arms and crack their head or something close to tat..

it was quite chilly inside the lecture theatre today during service, and i needed to go to the loo towards the end of the service coz i drank quite a lot of water (been feeling like about to fall sick for the past few days..) but service was so PACKED tat quite a number of us had to sit at the aisle, and it seemed quite impolite to just stand up and walk out of the hall so i waited.. when the service ended, i went straight out off the door and headed towards the toilet..

and there he was - little johnny standing outside.. and at the moment he saw me running, he started to run as well as if i were playing a game with him.. further and further he ran, away from the crowd.. so i stopped and called out to him, 'hey johnny.. where are u going?' he stopped and said 'i'm looking for christine (his elder sis)..' he seemed lost.. so i held my hand out for him to grab hold of and said 'come, go go will bring u to mummy..'

he stood there and looked at me.. and i thought he would have just turn from me and ran back to where the crowd was.. instead, he held his two hands out.. and i froze (i'm to carry him????) well, here we go.. so i lifted him up and expected the worst.. as naughty as he can be, he stayed quietly in my arms.. and we went around looking for the mum..

managed to find the mum and passed him back over to her.. 'bye johnny, be good ok?' i said and he waved good bye.. he's cute =) and oh, of course i headed back to the toilet.. well, wasn't tat bad after all.. but oh, it's no joke to carry a kid for more than 5mins.. they ain't tat light..
